About Sariska Tiger Reserve
Located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, Sariska Tiger Reserve spans over 866 sq km of diverse wildlife habitat. Originally a hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Alwar, it became a Project Tiger reserve in 1978.
The park is famous for its successful tiger reintroduction program and is home to leopards, hyenas, jungle cats, sambar deer, nilgai, and over 200 species of birds.
Apart from wildlife, Sariska houses Kankwari Fort, Neelkanth temples, and Pandupol — a unique blend of nature and ancient heritage.
